John is a medically retired U.S. Army Noncommissioned Officer and completed his active-duty service as a Military Intelligence professional. He served and was certified as a U.S. Army Master Resiliency Trainer and in this role, taught critical resiliency skills for career sustainment and enhancement to hundreds of service members and their families on military installations throughout the world. Prior to his retirement, John developed leadership acumen by serving in the Veteran non-profit space, and in 2017 founded Azimuth Leadership, LLC. This unique organization provides consulting services focusing on “behavioral health leadership” through culturally competent engagements and conversations in sports, military, educational and healthcare communities. In 2019 John launched T.E.A.M (Transition-Empowerment-Advocacy-Mindset) which facilitates a variety of live and virtual engagements including roundtable discussions, and a national peer-to-peer (P2P) leadership huddle.
